Paperplane Motel
From Portland, United States
Their sound is warm and grainy, a slow-motion postcard of late-night streets and dim-lit rooms, with lo-fi beats, muted guitars and intimate, half-whispered vocals. It feels like eavesdropping on a private memory—nostalgic, sleepy, and strangely comforting.
Paperplane Motel formed when three night-shift friends transformed an empty motel room into a makeshift studio, recording between late-night coffees and sunrise city noise. Their first EP was stitched together from cassette tapes, found sound and improvisation, and spread through word-of-mouth and small living-room shows. They build songs around fragile melodies and the comforting hiss of analog flaws.
